Our Little Escape

I’m not sure when the first time that Mary and I visited the Columbia River Gorge was, but it has become a nice little getaway to spend an afternoon. It’s not too far outside of the city, but it’s always ridiculously beautiful.

There is a mixture of old manmade structures and nature that is just unbeatable. It’s like a whole little world all by itself.

There are countless waterfalls along the Old Route 30 road. It seems as if there is a waterfall about every minute you drive by. It is a great place to visit any time of the year.

One of the most beautiful little places out there is the Oneonta Gorge. It is almost unnoticeable from the road, but if you know where to go you can’t beat it. You walk down this little creek, climb over a pile of jammed up logs, and it almost seems as if you are in a different country.

If you get a chance to go out and see what the Gorge has to offer, take it.
